The vision of Bridal Crown Ministries was led from a heart and calling from God to see the nation of Japan come to know the living savior, Jesus Christ. One night, on December 5, 2020, David received a dream which has inspired the purpose for the mission. Below is his account of that dream.
The Dream of the Japanese Bride
I had a dream where I was walking through what looked like a traditional Japanese temple or palace. Initially, there were pagan rituals, processions, and icons around the front of the palace but as I walked further and further into the palace grounds, the pagan rituals and icons were not present anymore.
I eventually came to a double door entrance of an inner chamber. There were a few other people next to me who seemed to be Japanese officials of the palace. I entered in sensing in my spirit something sacred and special ahead. Upon entering the chamber I noticed the room was very ornate in the traditional Japanese style and at the opposite end of the room in the center stood this beautiful Japanese woman in a white, lace, western style wedding dress. I knew immediately that she was not some commoner but was a princess, someone from a royal bloodline. Her presence glowed and brought forth a sense of holiness.
I came in and knelt before her. Someone in the room then brought to me a flat wooden box like a wide jewelry box. I opened the lid and saw inside a folded fabric like golden lace trim. The lace crown fabric was laid flat in the velvet-lined box. As I received and opened the box, it was as if I already knew what was happening and what I was there for. This was a special, holy ceremony of crowning the bride.
I was given the bride’s wedding veil which would sit on top of her head from a ring and I proceeded to take the gold lace crown fabric and sewed it around the front of the veil’s ring frame to make the crown. After finishing sewing on the crown the bride looked at me and said, “My wedding ceremony is coming soon. Will you be here in Japan to attend it?” I replied, “Yes, we are working on coming to Japan as soon as possible.” The bride replied, “Good, but hurry. My wedding ceremony is approaching and my bridegroom is coming soon.”
I immediately woke up after the dream and knew the meaning of this dream. The bride was the Japanese church being crowned and made ready for the coming of the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ. And I knew God was calling me to contribute in some way to prepare and make ready His Bride, His Church in Japan for Christ’s return.
“I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.”
